Schooling done my way.

Flexible | Alternative | Education

 we know you have questions…

here are the answers

  • Each day we provide a half-day of supervised academics - where you bring your choice of education program to our Conservatory.

There is a classroom teacher/tutor allocated and available to your child for support and supervision, as they work through their school work. The second half-day is made up of performing arts classes in music, drama and dance, with a focus on dance studies. These classes are tailored to the cohorts needs and interests, all provided by qualified leading professionals.

  • Yes, because everyone’s needs are unique.

You make the choice between a home schooling program or a distance education provider. You bring your program to us, and the teacher/tutor is there to supervise and support your child’s academic studies.

  • We are flexible - you get to select the amount of days you require.

  • Strictly 10-15 students per teacher/tutor, in your own classroom.

We have capped classes so we can provide you with the quality support and attention you need, when you need it.

  • Yes, but please remember every day is different.

    Example Timetable:

    8:30-8:40am - Arrival and Check-in

    8:40-9:50am - Academic Studies

    9:50-10:10am - Life Coaching Activity 1

    10:10-10:20am - Break

    10:20-11:30am - Academic Studies

    11:30-11:45am - Life Coaching Activity 2

    11:45-12:15pm - Lunch

    12:15-1:30pm - Performing Arts Class 1

    1:30-1:40pm - Break

    1:40-2:55pm - Performing Arts Class 2

    2:55-3:00pm - Reflection and Pick-up

  • Yes, yes, yes - a thousand times yes!

Your studio has nurtured you and grown you to be the dancer you are today. We would never want take you away from an environment you are flourishing in. Loyalty is admirable.

  • Technically yes, but not like any other.

Whole and happy humans are our number one priority.
Yes, we cultivate a culture of excellence, but not at the expense of a healthy body, mind or spirit.

  • Home schooling is where the parent/guardian applies to the Home Education Unit to develop/adapt their choice of program for their child. The parent implements and monitors the student’s educational progress from one year to the next. The parent/guardian can devise a program themselves or elect a homeschooling provider.

With Distance Education, a parent/guardian enrols their child with a Distance Education provider, and the school provides a pre-determined curriculum/program based off the Australian Curriculum for the student. Teachers from the Distance Education provider monitor and report on student learning and progress.

And our Dance Conservatory facilitates your selected program by providing academic supervision and support for your child whilst they are in our care.

  • We are proud to offer pastoral care - a model for their personal growth at this crucial age in social and emotional development.

We like to call it ‘life coaching’ - students engage in activities like mindfulness, goal setting, social events, educational podcasts, journaling, mindset building, excursions, philosophical discussion, problem solving and community service.

We believe these lessons are integral in developing a whole and happy human.

  • Only you will know what system is a better fit for your child.

We are not here to actively encourage students into any specific school setting. We simply provide a place for those who, for whatever reason, want an alternative education partnered with a performing arts education specialising in elite dance.

If you are unsure, we recommend trialing a part time solution to begin with, and then form a decision after 6-12 months.
What we can guarantee is a supportive environment - where your child is heard, nurtured and respected
